New Bill Gaining Momentum Would Make Shipping Horses to Slaughter Illegal

Reps. Troy Carter, Brian Fitzpatrick, Steve Cohen, Dina Titus and John Katko have filed an amendment to the surface transportation INVEST IN AMERICA Act that will halt the transport of horses intended for slaughter! The Racing Industry has just announced their support of this bill.
 

What does this mean? ​

It means NO horses will be allowed to be shipped to slaughter on America's highways. It also prevents our horses from being shipped to slaughter in Canada and Mexico. This is what we have been fighting for! 
 

How can you help American Horses? We need to be heard in Washington D.C. now.

The full House of Representatives is expected to act on the INVEST Act by next week, and we want to let everyone in Congress know that passage is crucial!  It's time horse slaughter ends.
